The Queen ‘Made it so’ for Patrick Stewart yesterday as he was Knighted at Buckingham Palace. The Star Trek star had shaved off his beard that we saw him with at the Empire Awards earlier this year to collect the honour paying tribute to his former teacher to which he said he owned ‘literally everything’.
Stewart is best known for playing Captain Jean Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Charles Xavier the X-Men films. After receiving the award he said:
“”To find myself, to my astonishment, in that company is the grandest thing that has professionally happened to me.”
