Love among the stars is a potent blend sci-fi and romance sure to hit every one of the four demographic quadrants right in the face. Morten Tyldum’s previous work on The Imitation Game showed off a mastery of the emotional undercurrents at play, however in the first trailer for Passengers love is all around for Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt.

Jon Spaihts returns to space follows his work on Prometheus, and the first look trailer lulls us into the welcome arms of a meet-cute in space before throwing us headlong in chaos, heartbreak and lots screaming at planets.

It looks aces. The film launches all over the world around Christmas.
