Transformers

Paramount Pictures have announced a tentative schedule for their 2016 releases, while Universal has confirmed that the sequel to The Bourne Legacy has been pushed back from August 14th, 2015 to July 15th, 2016. Jeremy Renner is still set to return as Aaron Cross, while Justin Lin is attached to direct.

We already know that there are a huge number of blockbusters coming out over the next couple of years, including various Marvel and DC comic book movies (Avengers: Age of Ultron and Batman V Superman for example), Star Wars Episode VII, and a spin-off directed by Gareth Edwards.

Talking at CineEurope in Barcelona yesterday, Paramount Pictures International SVP, EMEA Edward Ryan walked attendees through the studio’s rollout plans for 2015 and beyond. Though some don’t have release dates as of yet, the movies below are all expected to hit the big screen over the next two years.

2015

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water
Hot Tub Time Machine 2
The Gambler
Project Almanac
Terminator: Genesis
Friday the 13th 3D
Mission: Impossible 5

2016

Transformers 5
GI Joe 3
Star Trek 3
Paranormal Activity 5
Ben Hur
Beverly Hills Cop 4
Hansel and Gretel 2

Transformers 5 is obviously one of the biggest surprises, especially as it was originally expected sometime in 2017. Michael Bay will likely get straight to work on that movie as soon as Transformers: Age of Extinction is released next month. For those of you wondering, Wanted helmer Timur Bekmambetov is directing the Ben Hur remake, while Eddie Murphy IS expected to return for the fourth Beverley Hills Cop movie.

Which of these releases are you most looking forward to seeing?
