While we’re not exactly suffering from a dearth of superhero movies, Paper Man looks like being a nice twist on the genre, and we’ve got our first look at the poster for the Jeff Daniels and Ryan Reynolds film.
Also starring Lisa Kudrow, Kieran Culkin and Zombieland’s Emma Stone, the debut film from writer/directors Michele and Kieran Mulroney has an interesting premise – that an infantile middle aged writer retreats on the advice of his wife to Long Island to cure his writer’s block, and he meets young Abby (played by Stone) and their burgeoning relationship is aided by the imaginary friends.
As you’ll see from the poster below (from the excellent chaps at ComingSoon)Reynolds adds to his superhero roster by playing Captain Excellent (perhaps his nemesis is Dr. Horrible?), ComingSoon also have a grand write up of the finer points of the synopsis.
