David Leon’s hard-hitting new film, Orthodox, has its premiere at last year’s UK Jewish International Film Festival before its general release on the 19th of February.

Telling the story of a young orthodox Jew, bullied for his faith on a tough estate, turning to boxing as a chance to focus his pent-up aggression and finding his way into a deep and dark criminal underworld. Orthodox is about the choices he makes years later and how his life, and his family, is threatened by his past.

Leon has assembled a stellar cast with Graham in particular lending his nuanced, fearless emotional implosion factory to a brutal story of resilience and redemption. The ever-impressive Michael Smiley and Christopher Fairbank complete the main cast.
