Noah-Poster-sliceDarren Aronofsky’s Noah promises to bring the biblical epic back to the big screen in a way we’ve not seen in years, and with Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly reuniting to lead the cast, my ticket is guaranteed.

I’ve been looking forward to the project since it was first announced, and am glad that the countdown is down to just a matter of months.

The first trailers arrived late last year, teasing the epic flood soon coming our way. And now Paramount has launched a new poster, via Yahoo Movies, in which Crowe switching out the spear he brandished on the first poster for an axe, presumably to protect his family from the rest of humanity.

Russell Crowe stars as Noah, a man chosen by God for a great task before an apocalyptic flood destroys the world.

Crowe and Connelly head up a great ensemble, joined by Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, Kevin Durand, Marton Csokas, Nick Nolte, and Dakota Goyo.

Aronofksy directs from a script he co-wrote with past collaborator Ari Handel (The Fountain), with John Logan (Gladiator, Skyfall) doing an uncredited rewrite.

Noah will be released in regular and IMAX cinemas in the US on March 28th, with its UK release date following on 4th April. In the meantime, here’s the new poster, which you can click through to enlarge.
