Anna Kendrick is back to lead the Bellas once more in one of the summer’s biggest comedy sequel, Pitch Perfect 2.
The original musical built up a really big fanbase back in 2012, and was a pretty strong sleeper hit for Universal at the box office at home and abroad. And after making their presence felt at the Super Bowl, the studio has launched a new trailer to give us a flavour of what the Bellas are up against this time.
The Barden Bellas are back in Pitch Perfect 2, the follow-up to 2012’s smash hit.
Kendrick is joined by another terrific ensemble, led by Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Skylar Astin, Anna Camp, Ester Dean, Alexis Knapp, Hana Mae Lee, Kelley Jakle, Hailee Steinfeld, Chrissie Fit, Adam DeVine, and Ben Platt. Elizabeth Banks and John Michael Higgins return franchise alongside newcomer David Cross.
Banks is making her directorial debut on the sequel, having produced and starred in the original. And she’s directing from a script penned by Kay Cannon, who wrote the first film.
Pitch Perfect 2 will be released in the US and UK on 15th May.
