Parker will see Jason Statham return to the big screen next month in the kind of film we all know and love him for.
The first trailer and poster debuted back in October, with two new international posters surfacing just last week. And now eOne have released the new UK trailer, giving us another look at this action-/crime-thriller.
“Parker (Jason Statham) is a professional thief who lives by a personal code of ethics: Don’t steal from people who can’t afford it and don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it. But on his latest heist, his crew double crosses him, steals his stash, and leaves him for dead. Determined to make sure they regret it, Parker tracks them to PalmBeach, playground of the rich and famous, where the crew is planning their biggest heist ever. Donning the disguise of a rich Texan, Parker takes on an unlikely partner, Leslie (Jennifer Lopez), a savvy insider, who’s short on cash, but big on looks, smarts and ambition. Together, they devise a plan to hijack the score, take everyone down and get away clean.”
Statham is joined by an impressive supporting cast, headed up by Jennifer Lopez, Nick Nolte, Michael Chiklis, Sala Baker, Clifton Collins, Jr., and Wendell Pierce.
Taylor Hackford (Ray, The Devil’s Advocate) is behind the camera, directing from a script by John J. McLaughlin (Hitchcock, Black Swan), based on the best-selling series of novels by Donald E. Westlake.
Parker is set to hit theatres in the US on 25th January, 2013. Here in the UK, its release date looks to have been pushed back slightly, and is now set for 8th March. When it comes to Statham, chances are that it will be well worth the wait. For now, here’s the new trailer. Enjoy.
