Jane Got A Gun hasn’t had an easy journey to the big screen. Original director Lynne Ramsay walked away from the movie a day before shooting was set to begin, while the hunt for a leading man saw Jude Law, Michael Fassbender and Bradley Cooper all pass on the project.

Then, after numerous delays, the movie finally secured a release date back in August, only to find itself in limbo when Relativity Media lost it just before the company filed for bankruptcy in July. Thankfully though, we now have a new trailer for Jane Got A Gun (which was written by Brian Duffield before Anthony Tambakis performed a rewrite) proving it’s on the way!

Jane Got A Gun is the story of Jane Hammond (Natalie Portman, Thor), a young mother living in a ranch on the vast New Mexico prairie. When her life is threatened by a conniving gang of outlaws led by the nefarious John Bishop (Ewan McGregor, Star Wars), Jane is forced to seek help from her former fiancé (Joel Edgerton, Black Mass), now a gunslinger.

Sequestered at her ranch with a limited stockpile of weapons and supplies, they await the epic showdown with the Bishops, whilst a tense romantic triangle unfolds inside.

Directed by Warrior’s Gavin O’Connor, Jane Got A Gun is set to be released next Spring.
