Celebrating James Bond Day yesterday, we saw plenty of excellent things from the upcoming Skyfall, which sees Daniel Craig reprising his role in just a few weeks’ time.

The official theme song, sung by Adele, hit at 0:07 yesterday morning, and was followed by a new trailer set to the song at the end of the day. The latest character banner for the film has also surfaced over on Facebook, giving us a look now at Dame Judi Dench starring once more as M.

“In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”

Craig and Dench star alongside one of the best casts of the year, headed up by Javier Bardem, Bérénice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Whishaw, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory, and Ola Rapace.

Oscar-winning director, Sam Mendes (American Beauty), is making his Bond debut behind the camera, directing from a script by Bond frequents Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and the ever-brilliant John Logan (Gladiator, Coriolanus).

Skyfall will be hitting regular and IMAX theatres in the UK on 26th October, with tickets already on sale and selling fast. In the US, it will be arriving in IMAX theatres a day early on 8th November, before going wide on 9th November across the country. All we’ve seen from the movie has been somewhat immense, and we can’t wait for its release. For now, here’s the new banner, giving us a look at Dench in what will be her seventh Bond film as M.
