Rocket Raccoon

A new video preview for Guardians of the Galaxy puts the spotlight squarely on Bradley Cooper’s Rocket Raccoon and features some great new footage from the highly anticipated Marvel movie from James Gunn.

If you can forgive the irritating voice-over from the Entertainment Tonight hosts, it not only shows off plenty of the gun toting raccoon voiced by American Hustle star Bradley Cooper, but also new scenes featuring the likes of Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord and Zoe Saldana as the tough as nails Gamora.

The stills meanwhile feature a variety of characters from the movie, but it’s the shot of Lee Pace (The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug) as Ronan the Accuser which is perhaps most revealing.

In Guardians of the Galaxy, Ronan is Thanos’ henchman, and this image gives us our best look at him in action yet. We also see the villainous Nebula (played by Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan) ready for action.

Are you looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy? With a little over a month to go until its released, be sure to stay tuned to HeyUGuys as we’ll have a lot more on the movie very soon!

Guardians of the Galaxy

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro, Guardians of the Galaxy is set to be released on August 1st in the US and July 31st in the UK.
