OSS 117 is released on DVD in the UK today and will be released in theatres in America on May 7th.

Music Box Films are handling the US distribution and have released a clip from the film which you can check out below (warning – it is very NSFW). It is a scene in which the usually conservative main character takes drugs and ends up in a hippy orgy.

OSS 117: Lost in Rio is the sequel to the 2006 OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies and again stars Jean Dujardin as the titular spy.

I really enjoyed the first OSS 117 film and thought it blended some pretty broad comedy and slapstick with some witty moments and some funny but awkward humour. Lost in Rio is more of the same and I again had a great time watching Jean Dujardin in the role, whose wonderful performance the film really hangs on.

The official synopsis of OSS 117: Lost in Rio is as follows

Twelve years after Cairo, OSS 117 is back on a new mission at the other end of the world. As he tracks down a microfilm that is compromising for the French State, France’s most famous secret agent will have to team up with the Mossad’s most seductive lieutenant-colonel in order to capture a Nazi blackmailer. From Rio´s sunny beaches to luxuriant Amazonian forests, from the depths of secret grottos to the top of Corcovado’s Christ, a new adventure is about to begin. Whatever the danger, whatever the stakes, you can always count on Hubert Bonisseur de la Bath to find a way out…

Embedded below the clip is the UK trailer for the film.
