Since finishing the Harry Potter films last year, Emma Watson has been taking her career in a number of brilliant directions, starring in My Week With Marilyn late last year, with two more films coming up.
The second of those (after Stephen Chbosky’s anticipated The Perks of Being a Wallflower) will see her leading Sofia Coppola’s next film, The Bling Ring, following on from her award-winning Somewhere.
Watson has tweeted out a new image of herself on the set, sporting a pink tracksuit, a pair of Uggs, and three tattoos (in sight, at least). She also had this to add about her character via Twitter:

With Watson playing her and Coppola writing her, I’m willing to bet she’s going to be a fascinating character.
The film is based on the real-life story of a group of celebrity-obsessed teenagers who broke into the homes of a number of stars – including Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox, Rachel Bilson, and Orlando Bloom – and stole millions of dollars’ worth of money and goods.
Watson is set to lead this group of youngsters, and it’s clearly going to be a role unlike any we’ve seen her in before, which definitely sounds interesting.
Leslie Mann and Taissa Farmiga (Vera’s sister) both co-star, with a number of cameos expected from the likes of Kirsten Dunst, Paris Hilton, and Gavin Rossdale.
Filming for The Bling Ring finished part-way through last month, and whilst there’s no release date yet, here’s to hoping that it will be sooner rather than later. With Sofia Coppola’s credits being what they are, I can’t see this being anything but brilliant.
