A new poster has been released for Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar today, and it features Matthew McConaughey heading into the unknown with the tagline, “The End Of Earth Will Not Be The End Of Us”.

Plot details are obviously being kept under wraps, but the synopsis reads: “Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.”

The cast also includes Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, and Michael Caine. That’s a very impressive line-up and a release date for Interstellar has been set for November 7th, 2014.

Meanwhile, the first stills have been released for By The Sea. It will see Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie share the screen for the first time since 2005’s Mr and Mrs Smith. Jolie wrote, produced and is directing the movie which is set in 1970s France and the following description of the story has been released today:

“Set in France during the mid-1970s, Jolie plays Vanessa, a former dancer, and Pitt is her husband Roland, an American writer. As they travel the country together, they seem to be growing apart, but when they linger in one quiet, seaside town they begin to draw close to some of its more vibrant inhabitants, such as a local bar/café-keeper and hotel owner.”

In a recent interview, Jolie is quoted as saying, “I chose to set By the Sea in the 1970s, not only because it is a colorful and alluring era, but because it removes many of the distractions of contemporary life and allows the focus to remain squarely on the emotions that the characters experience in their journey.”

Finally, we also have a new Gotham poster and character banner for the upcoming TV series which will put the focus on a young Detective Jim Gordon’s battle to protect the city before Bruce Wayne became Batman.

Gotham is an origin story of the great DC Comics super villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. The series follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.

Batman apparently won’t be making an appearance until Gotham ends, but we will spend some time with a young Bruce Wayne as he sets out on the path to becoming the city’s Caped Crusader. Other names which have recently been confirmed to appear are Hugo Strange, The Joker and Mr. Freeze. As you can see from the image below, the series will kick off with the likes of Catwoman, The Penguin and The Riddler.
