Four new stills (which seems like an appropriate number) have been released from writer Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and director Josh Trank’s (Chronicle) upcoming reboot of the Fantastic Four.
Featured in these are Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic (Miles Teller, Whiplash), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Kate Mara, House of Cards), and Johnny Storm/The Human Torch (Michael, B. Jordan, Red Tails). Unfortunately, there’s no sign of Ben Grimm/The Thing (Jamie Bell, Billy Elliot) as that character is being kept under wraps.
The images below give us a great look at the costumes which will be worn by the heroes in Fantastic Four. They’re a massive departure from the comic books and 2005 movie, that’s for sure. Will this creative decision alienate fans though? That remains to be seen, but it’s hard to find anyone as excited for this as Avengers!
The Fantastic Four reboot is a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centres on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
