This-Is-40-PosterJudd Apatow’s This Is 40, the anticipated sort-of sequel to Knocked Up, will be hitting the US in just under a month, and is set to be a contender in the coming awards race, with Universal recently launching the film’s campaign.

We caught a great new red-band featurette for the film last week, and now the Huffington Post have debuted a new featurette, with a focus on Jason Segel’s return, reprising his role from the original film.

“Writer/director/producer Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Funny People) brings audiences This Is 40, an original comedy that expands upon the story of Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) from the blockbuster hit Knocked Up as we see firsthand how they are dealing with their current state of life.”

Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann are taking the leads this time around, starring alongside Segel, Maude and Iris Apatow, Megan Fox, Albert Brooks, Chris O’Dowd, John Lithgow, Melisssa McCarthy, and the ever-brilliant Lena Dunham.

Apatow is once more directing from his own script, and also serves as producer alongside Barry Mandel (Serenity, Bridesmaids) and Clayton Townsend (Knocked Up, Bridesmaids).

This Is 40 will be released in the US on 21st December, before coming to our shores in the UK for a 14th February, Valentine’s Day release. For now, here’s the great new featurette to give you a taste of what Apatow has in store for us. Bodies by Jason. I can’t wait.
