Advanced spoiler warning: If you don’t want to know how Bond 24 opens, look away now.

Sony recently treated us to the first teaser for SPECTRE, this year’s anticipated follow-up to Skyfall. Now the studio has shared some footage from behind the scenes of the opening scene out in Mexico City, which producer Michael G. Wilson has described as ‘the biggest sequence we’ve ever done’. That’s some hefty praise, so we’re eager to see whether it lives up to expectations.

Skyfall’s opening scene kicked things off with a car, motorbike, train, and digger chase sequence, so SPECTRE has some competition there, for starters.

A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.

Daniel Craig returns alongside Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux, Dave Bautista, Monica Bellucci, Andrew Scott, Jesper Christensen, and Sigman.

Sam Mendes is back in the director’s chair, with John Logan once more co-writing the script with Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

SPECTRE is set to hit regular and IMAX cinemas on 23rd October in the UK.
