Season one of Narcos took everyone by surprise, and while it’s been a long wait for season two, the hit series detailing the rise and fall of Pablo Escobar will reach Netflix on September 2nd.  In the second season, the notorious drug kingpin is on the run, with the Colombian authorities in relentless pursuit and determined to put an end to his illegal activities.

It’s been widely speculated that season two will bring an end to Escobar’s (Wagner Moura) story, but that the show will continue with the agents played by Boyd Holbrook and Pablo Escobar setting their sights on a new target. Whether or not that will be the case remains to be seen, but it would be a real show to lose Narcos after just the two lots of episodes.

Regardless, a new trailer has been released today which offers up our first proper look at what’s to come. Following Escobar’s escape from the prison he built for himself, and the war between the DEA and cartel is going to intensify in a huge way as the two sides battle for supremacy. We know how Escobar’s story ends, but the journey there should be great.

There have been a fair few movies revolving around the kingpin, but Narcos is easily one of the best. If you haven’t already watched the first season, then find it on Netflix right now!
