Production has kicked off on 20th Century Fox’s big screen adaptation of Deadpool, and the cast of the movie have taken to Twitter to announce the news, confirming their roles in the movie in the process.

There are still a number of roles to be accounted for however, and more casting news should continue to be revealed over the coming weeks. For now though, we know that Transformers: Age of Extinction star T.J. Miller is playing Weasel, while Gotham and Homeland star Morena Baccarin is confirmed as Copycat.

Weasel is Deadpool’s long suffering friend and provides the mercenary with technology and weapons.

Copycat meanwhile is a mutant who possesses the ability to shape-shift as well as to copy any power from another individual after a period of physical contact. When Deadpool first met her (in his debut issue), she was disguised as Domino, but it’s not clear whether or not that will be the case in this movie.

Written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Deadpool is directed by Tim Miller and set to be released on February 12th, 2016. Which characters do we want to see in Deadpool? Find that out by clicking here.
