Despite being a great TV series, DC Comics adaptation Constantine was cancelled after just a single season. That stems from NBC putting it in a terrible time slot and not giving it the same sort of promotional push as the likes of Gotham and The Flash on Fox and The CW, but star Matt Ryan was given the chance to reprise the role in an episode of Arrow last year.

Whether or not Constantine will ever be brought back to TV remains to be seen (fans have made it clear that they would love to see the character show up in Legends of Tomorrow), but a new featurette on the upcoming Batman: The Killing Joke Blu-ray confirms that Ryan will once again play the character, only this time it’s just his voice he’ll be lending to the role.

Joining him will be Camilla Luddington (Tomb Raider) as Zatanna, Nicholas Turturro (Blue Bloods) as Deadman, Ray Chase as Jason Blood/Etrigan The Demon, and Jason O’Mara as Batman. The Dark Knight isn’t traditionally a member of this team, but there’s no better way to sell one of these movies than sticking him on the cover! Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern are also expected to appear alongside Swamp Thing and Black Orchid.

If Justice League Dark sounds familiar to you, it’s because a live-action version has been in the works for years now. There hasn’t been any movement on that for a while, but should this animated feature prove to be a hit, don’t be surprised to see its status finally change.
