Mark Hamill presents his second, in what looks to be a series, of Donald Trump tweets read by his alter ego: The Joker. This week, it’s The Joker in ‘Return of the Trumpster’.

The Joker relaying the USA’s President Elect’s tweets carries terrifying parallels, but also maintains a humorous spin via political satire. This week’s Trumpster voice clip focuses on Donald Trump’s Meryl Streep Twitter rant, following her speech at the Golden Globes.

The Joker

Meryl Streep commented on an incident from 2015, when Trump imitated a disabled reporter: “It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter. Someone he outranked in privilege, power, and the capacity to fight back. It kind of broke my heart when I saw it…”

Trump responded on Twitter, by saying she was an “Overrated” actress and a “Hilary flunky who lost big.” You can now hear this response, as Mark Hamill’s iconic Joker. Mark Hamill’s Joker first appeared in Batman: The Animated Series in 1992, and he has been considered the definitive voice actor of The Joker ever since.

Robert De Niro also lent his support to Meryl Streep, by sending her a personal letter. De Niro commended her for speaking her mind at the Golden Globes: “What you said was great. It needed to be said, and you said it beautifully. I have so much respect for you that you did it while the world was celebrating your achievements.”

In their own unique ways, Hamill and De Niro continue to be strong, supportive voices on Twitter. Whatever happens next you can be sure The Joker will return, as Mark Hamill maintains his fan favourite character of twenty five years on Twitter. No one can keep Mr. J in a closet.
