Agent Carter didn’t reach the UK until July, but it proved to be worth the wait. When the ABC series will return to Fox remains to be seen (they have confirmed that they’ll air season two), but it’s set to premiere in the US early next year during the first and second halves of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Filming is under way, but four more have now joined the cast.

By far the biggest addition is Wynn Everett (The Newsroom) as Whitney Frost, a character better known to comic book fans as Iron Man villain Madame Masque. In Agent Carter, she’ll be a Hollywood actress and brilliant inventor; will we see her take a villainous turn though?

That remains to be seen for now, but it would be a little disappointing to not see her don that mask at some point in the series! Regardless, other new cast members include Currie Graham (Raising the Bary) as Frost’s husband, Calvin Chadwick, a high-powered businessman and Lotte Verbeek (Outlander) as Ana Jarvis, the free-spirited wife of Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy), who immediately befriends Peggy and helps her adjust to life in LA.

Finally, it sounds like Agent Carter will have a new love interest in the form of Reggie Austin (Devious Maids) as Jason Wilkes, a quirky, yet charismatic scientist who instantly charms Peggy. It’s also been confirmed that Dominic Cooper and Bridget Regan will reprise their roles as Howard Stark and Dottie Underwood, though Lyndsy Fonseca’s status is unknown.

Atwell will of course be back as Agent Carter, while it was previously confirmed that Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, and James D’Arcy are all also set to appear in the second season.
