Next year will see the launch of Agent Carter, the World War II set adventure series starring Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter from Captain America: The First Avenger. The cast is so far shaping up to make the show a must-watch, and the addition of Kick-Ass and How I Met Your Mother star Lyndsy Fonseca proves that!

She’ll be playing newly created character Angie Martinelli, an aspiring actress living in 1946 New York. In Agent Carter, Angie will befriend Peggy as she herself seeks to find her place in the post-war world.

What’s the series about? It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR, Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life–Steve Rogers.

Agent Carter also stars Chad Michael Murray as SSR Agent Jack Thompson, Enver Gjokaj as SSR Agent Daniel Sousa, James D’Arcy as Edwin Jarvis, and Boardwalk Empire’s Shea Whigham as SSR Chief Roger Dooley.

Agent Carter will air when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. takes its midseason break, and talking of that series, you may remember that the new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron was scheduled to debut during Tuesday’s episode. However, it leaked (which you can watch by clicking here), forcing Marvel’s to release it sooner!

Well, in a bid to increase Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s falling ratings, Marvel have confirmed this evening that another (brand new) preview will during the next instalment of the series. There’s no word on what it will feature, but we’ll obviously have it with you right here the second that it’s released online.

An upcoming special which airs on November 4th called Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop! will also offer a new look at Avengers: Age of Ultron, so stay tuned to HeyUGuys for more on Joss Whedon’s sequel.
