Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is no stranger to superhero movies after starring in Thor: The Dark World for Marvel, but the Lost alum is now lining up another major comic book role, this time in the DC Universe. He’ll play Killer Croc, an iconic Batman villain with a monstrous look in Fury director David Ayer’s Suicide Squad.

Croc has also taken on a human appearance over the years, so depending on the tone of the movie, there’s a chance the actor won’t be donning prosthetics or a mo-cap suit. However, rumour has it that King Shark will be making an appearance, so don’t be too surprised if Killer Croc does end up looking like a monster!

It’s also been revealed recently that Scott Eastwood might be making a cameo appearance as Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman’s love interest. Karen Fukuhara meanwhile is rumoured to take on the role of Platique.

The cast of Suicide Squad continues to expand, and you have to imagine that the majority of these villains and characters will only be making very brief appearances. Regardless, Akinnuoye-Agbaje joins a cast which includes Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Viola Davis, Jay Hernandez, Jesse Eisenberg, and Jared Leto. Suicide Squad is set to be released on August 5th, next year.
