If you’d been in Leicester Square yesterday evening, you’d have been aware of two things: First, it was the premiere of Les Misérables. Second, it was INCREDIBLY cold. Quite understandably, this sent most of the talent on the red carpet scurrying for the warmth of the cinema, so our coverage isn’t as comprehensive as we’d have liked. Fortunately a few hardy souls, including director Tom Hooper braved the cold to give us some quick interviews.
As well as Hooper, we get to chat with Producer Debra Hayward who talks us through adapting this hugely popular stage show into a movie, Richard Curtis who was attending as a guest and cast-member Samantha Barks who plays Éponine.
Les Misérables is released in UK cinemas 11th January so a while to wait I’m afraid. Our interviews are below and our review will follow in the coming days.
