Ron Howard has taken to social media yet again to tease audiences with a first look of the young Lando Calrissian, played by Donald Glover, behind the director’s monitor on the set of Han Solo.

The shot would appear to see Glover sat in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon pouring over the controls. Only last week Howard posted a picture of the wardrobe of the young Lando, confirming he is currently working on scenes with Glover.

Lando was a smuggler, gambler, and card player who became Baron Administrator of Cloud City and, later, a general in the Rebel Alliance. He was the owner of the Millennium Falcon before losing it to Han Solo in a game of sabacc. After losing the Falcon, Calrissian put an end to his days as a smuggler and became an entrepreneur, setting up a small mining operation on the planet Lothal before eventually becoming the leader of Cloud City in the skies of the planet Bespin.
Since taken over the helm of the Star Wars spin-off from Phil Lord and Chris Miller last month, Howard has had some fun giving fans of the franchise a glimpse onto the set of Han Solo. We also recently reported a number of leaked photos from the set of Han Solo which had surfaced from the production, which has so far been kept under top secret conditions.
Alden Ehrenreich will take the lead as a young Han Solo in the film which was originally played by Harrison Ford, The cast also includes Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Joonas Suotamo.
Han Solo is expected to be released in May 2018.
