Well, they clearly weren’t joking when they said that this version of King Kong will be the biggest ever seen on screen! That’s evident from the first trailer for the movie which you can see below, and while we never get a full shot of the iconic beast (this is only a teaser remember), we see more than enough of him in action to be, well, truly terrified.

In fact, this version of Kong looks like a far cry from the one we saw in Peter Jackson’s movie a few years back, though it makes sense that he’s a little more ferocious, especially as he’ll be pitted against Godzilla in what’s sure to be a very unique crossover come 2020.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but this movie won’t be the classic beauty and the beast type story about Kong being brought back to New York City and climbing the Empire State Building. Instead, Kong: Skull Island will delve into the monster’s homeland, telling an original story which promises to deliver something very fresh and exciting for the character.

The cast of Kong: Skull Island includes Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly, and it’s currently set to be released on March 10th, 2017.
