The last big blockbuster Kirsten Dunst starred in was playing Mary Jane in Spider Man 3, back in 2007 – yes, it has already been four years. After that, she has appeared only in relatively low budget and low profile productions –  but now she’s back in full force with four movies.

One of these is the tentatively titled “Bachelorette”, an independent project under the wing of Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s production company Gary Sanchez.

The title, we hear from The Hollywood Reporter, will be most likely changed, and the casting is still to be completed. The movie, which producers hope to start shooting in the summer, is based around the story of a wedding and three best friends who are invited to be the bridesmaids – the bride to be, however, is a girl who used to be nicknamed “Pigface” back in high school. Kirsten Dunst’s character is enigmatically described as “your best friend and your worst enemy”.

The script, written by Leslie Headland, is based on the hit Broadway play “Bachelorette”.
