Matthew Vaughn’s big screen adaptation of Mark Millar (Kick-Ass) and Dave Gibbons’ (Watchmen) Kingsman: The Secret Service exceeded everyone’s expectations earlier this year when it grossed over $400 million worldwide, so talk of a sequel shouldn’t surprise you!

Unfortunately, it seems like the production of the sequel – which Vaughn is currently writing – may hit something of a snag due to the fact that Fox are hoping to pencil it in to start in April 2016. That’s a problem because Taron Egerton starts work on Robin Hood: Origins in February, leading to something of a scheduling conflict. Don’t fret though; it’s thought that the studios will be able to figure something out, so Eggsy isn’t going to end up being recast.

Vaughn has yet to commit to returning to direct the Kingsman sequel, but it’s widely believed that he will end up once again taking the helm before moving on to spy thriller I Am Pilgrim.

Little is known about what’s to come in the Kingsman: The Secret Service sequel, but it’s thought that Colin Firth will somehow be brought back, while the focus may be turned to an American version of the Kingsman agency. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see…
