IMP Awards have brought us a new and quirky looking poster for upcoming Kevin Spacey-starrer, Father of Invention. Spacey will, as the poster below shows, star alongside an eclectic cast consisting of Johnny Knoxville, Heather Graham, Camilla Belle and Virginia Madsen. IMDb advise that Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor from Smallville) and John Stamos (ER) also feature.

Father of Invention so says IMDb sees Kevin Spacey play:-

Robert Axel, an eccentric inventor who through wealth and fame, finds unexpected misfortune and after many hardships is ready to redeem his name and rebuild his billion dollar empire.

Sounds like the sort of role that would suit Spacey to a tee. A more detailed synopsis follows on the IMDb page for the film:-

Robert Axle, an eccentric inventor turned ego maniacal infomercial guru, loses it all when one of his inventions maims thousands of customers. After 8 years in maximum security prison, Axle is ready to redeem his name and rebuild his billion dollar empire. But first he must convince his estranged 22 year old daughter to let him live with her and her quirky, over protective roommates

We have no release date details yet, but we will keep you posted. Here’s the poster for you to enjoy.

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.
