James Kleinmann sat down with the actress to talk about stepping into a villainous role,

“It was really exciting to dive into somebody like Tessa and her psychosis. There was a weird energy to [her]. She makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. There’s something off…”

She talks about creating the awkward chemistry with her co-star, and how the dynamic was built on screen.

“I loved that with Rosario [Dawson] doesn’t trust her instincts to stay away from this person. [Tessa] is her new fiance’s ex-wife and the mother of his child, so she’s got to be around her. It’s very tense and wrought with uncomfortableness. That was fun to play.

“I had never seen Fatal Attraction, so I sat down with it one night…and I got about twenty minutes in and I said “I can’t watch this at night before bed…”. It was super creepy. She gets you, she’s so powerful in that role. The goal was not to [play the character] like that, but to have the same impact.”

Unforgettable is released in UK cinemas on the on April 21.
