Here’s some news which may take a particularly large leap of imagination for some to fathom. Josh Brolin is developing a new version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame at Warner Bros. which he intends to both produce and star in.

Husband and wife team, Kieran and Michele Mulroney (they penned the upcoming Sherlock Holmes sequel) are on script duties here, and Tim Burton is being mentioned as a possible director for the project.

Wonder if Brolin’s recent turn as loathsome killer Tom Chaney in True Grit has instilled in the actor that another attempt at “going ugly” could result in an equally favourable outcome again?
