Josh-Gad-and-Ashton-Kutcher-in-jOBSChronicling the life of the late Steve Jobs, Joshua Michael Stern’s jOBS will be premiering out in Park City this month as the Closing Night Film for Sundance.

Ashton Kutcher stars in the eponymous lead, and we got a great first look at him late last year, with some classic machinery in the background dating the image somewhat.

And with the film about to make its world premiere out in Utah, USA Today have debuted two new images, giving us our first look at Josh Gad as Steve Wozniak.

“In 1976, college dropout Steve Jobs heralded a revolution within the confines of his parents’ garage. Jobs, along with friend and technical wizard Steve Wozniak, unleashed the “homebrew” Apple 1 personal computer kit onto an unsuspecting public, producing 200 units by hand and shipping each one themselves (monitor and keyboard not included). Apple Inc. was born, and the world would never be the same. Today hundreds of millions of users around the world remain tethered to the remarkable products that Jobs championed—his impact on the world of technology was undoubtedly colossal, but his effect on our culture was simply immeasurable.”

Kutcher and Gad are joined by an excellent supporting cast, headed up by Dermot Mulroney (The Grey), James Woods (The Virgin Suicides), Lukas Haas (Inception), Matthew Modine (The Dark Knight Rises), and J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man).

Stern (Swing Vote) is directing from a script penned by Matt Whiteley, who makes his debut here as a writer.

The pairing of Kutcher and Gad in the leads sounds absolutely brilliant to me, and I can’t wait to see what they bring to the table together.

jOBS will be closing out Sundance later this month, and has already been picked up by Open Roads in the US for Stateside distribution this April. No word yet on when we can look forward to it in the UK, but here’s to hoping it will be coming to our shores at about the same time. For now, here are the great new images, which you can click through to enlarge.
