Marvel and Netflix have released the second teaser trailer for Jessica Jones today, and it contains our first look at footage from the highly anticipated series which is the second of their four Defenders shows which also include Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.
In this preview, we see Jessica Jones passed out drunk, and her alarm clock suffers when she crushes it with her bear hands! Some fans were worried that Marvel might have done away with the character’s amazing abilities, and despite the grounded tone of these shows, it’s clear that it won’t be afraid to embrace the comic books just like Daredevil did.
Krysten Ritter plays Jessica Jones, and she’ll be joined by Rachel Taylor as Trish Walker (a.k.a. Hellcat), Carrie-Anne Moss as Harper, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and David Tennant as the villainous Killgrave/ Purple Man. It’s an impressive cast and this teaser looks great!
The official synopsis for Jessica Jones reveals that, “After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.”
