Earlier this week, Rebel Wilson revealed that she had met Bridesmaids director Paul Feig about a role in his upcoming female-led Ghostbusters reboot, and Jennifer Lawrence has also alluded to such a meeting.

However, more of the “Sony Hack” emails have now found their way online, shedding some light on which actresses we might end up seeing in the movie. In an email sent from Sony boss Amy Pascal to Ivan Reitman (the original director and producer of Ghostbusters), she revealed some new details about the reboot.

“Agree that everyone is way too nervous about how this issue and how we. present it but it’s isn’t a sequel to the 80s movies and it is gonna be totally original with completely different characters and our job is to find a clever way to connect the movie to the original franchise so that we can use all the assets and everything that is great about the original franchise,” the email reads, confirming that it won’t be a full on reboot.

As for the cast, it appears as if a number of actresses have already expressed their interest. “Paul’s movie is gonna be the first one and from what I’m hearing jennifer lawrence and Emma stone and Melissa McCarthy and Amy schumer and liszzy [Lizzy] Kaplan just to name a few have already said thy wanted to be in….”

They’re not the only ones however as Ryan Gosling has also expressed a desire to join the cast of Ghostbusters according to more leaked emails. Luckily for him, there is said to be one major male role in the movie which Paul Feig has written into the script, so it should be interesting to see how this one plays out.

However, it also mentions that Feig specifically wants Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone in the movie…
