Jennifer Aniston (The Good Girl) and Dennis Quaid (Frequency) are in talks to star in Switch.
Aniston and Quaid will appear opposite Ty Burrell (The Incredible Hulk), John Hawkes (Martha Marcy May Marlene) and Yasiin Bey (The Italian Job) in the adaptation of Elmore Leonard’s novel of the same name.
Switch, which serves as a pseudo prequel to Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown, centres on two career criminals (Hawkes and Bey) who successfully kidnap the wife (Aniston) of a corrupt real estate developer (Quaid), but have to come up with a new plan when the husband decides not to pay the ransom.
Dan Schechter will direct from his own adapted screenplay. Filming is expected to begin in May.
Aniston, who was recently cast in Paul Andrew Williams’ Miss You Already, will next be seen in Wanderlust, while Quaid stars in the ensemble comedy What to Expect When You’re Expecting.
