This evening, Ben Mortimer and myself headed off to one of London’s finest establishments the Grosvenor House Hotel to attend the 2013 Jameson Empire Awards. These awards mark the end to the awards season in the HeyUGuys calendar and are a special event as all the winners are voted for by the readers of Empire Magazine.
Although the red carpet was freezing on what has become the coldest March on record, we were pleased to be in the warm in the press room to chat with the winners of each award and the presenters as they arrived in turn. Below are the fruits of our labour which are extensive! We got to chat with some of the most established actors and filmmakers in the business as well as lots of new arrivals to the cinema scene.

As well as the usual interviews questions, we were also intrigued to find out what the favourite cult film of each of the talent was to keep in theme with the Jameson Cult Film Club. More specifically we ask Daniel Radcliffe about his dance number at The Oscars and he gives us his thoughts on the show, talking primarily about how well he thought Seth MacFarlane did at hosting the event and how it would be nice to turn his dance number into a musical alongside his dance partner Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Sam Mendes also lets us know that he hasn’r compeltely shut the door on Bond and has ‘left the door open to return to future Bond movies’ if ever the chance was to present itself and the time was right for him to return.
