Hollywood’s preoccupation with big screen Fairy Tales may soon be at an end with a bevy of sequels and lesser-known offshoots beginning to crowd the cinematic landscape. With Disney’s adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods, however, they are going out with a bang.
Out on the 9th of January Rob Marshall’s film is in town for its UK premiere and earlier today we attended the press conference, and will present the full video of the event below.
We were able to catch up with the cast last year for the film’s Gala screening in London, those interviews and press conference footage is below our featured video, and with tonight’s premiere we head back Into the Woods.
Meryl Streep joined cast members James Corden and Emily Blunt at today’s press conference, along with the wonderful Tracey Ullman, with whom we have a full interview to be published shortly.
During the press conference Streep was asked for her reaction to Russell Crowe’s comments about women in Hollywood ‘playing their age’ (read Em Breen’s take on his comments here), and her response was spot on,
