There are some occasions in life that you never quite forget. Paul Gascoigne has provided a fair few of them, and now, meeting the man himself to promote Jane Preston’s aptly titled documentary ‘Gascoigne’, was another to add to the list.

The film chronicles the life of the great footballer, from his humble beginnings at Newcastle United, to his move to Spurs and so on, while also looking into the less celebrated years away from the pitch. We asked Gazza about scoring that famous goal against Arsenal when playing for Spurs, while he discussed his own thoughts on watching this documentary back, and he tells us what he’d like to be remembered for most.

Gascoigne is available to own now on DVD. You can read our review of the film here.
