As the entire population of Westeros were in London this week for the Game of Thrones season 5 premiere, we took that opportunity to pounce, interviewing Jamie Lannister himself, Mr. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau – who was promoting his latest feature film, A Second Chance.
In the film Coster-Waldau plays a father, having to grieve the death of his young baby – which then leads him down to a dark and desperate path to restore order in his life. We discussed the difficulties playing this role (and one challenging scene in particular).
We also spoke about the forthcoming series of Game of Thrones, as Coster-Waldau speaks about Jamie’s journey, why he thinks people should give the character a second chance – and whether this series will be the very darkest yet.
