In the second of our interviews from the Titanic Live event promo campaign we talked to producer Jon Landau.

Titanic Live’s sold-out event at the Royal Albert Hall last night was conducted by Ludwig Wicki and attended by composer James Horner, producer Jon Landau and director James Cameron.

Having spoken previously to James Cameron’s composer of choice the chance to sit down with Landau offered us an insight on working with some of the biggest films of all time.

As well as the endurance and spectacle of Titanic our attention quickly turned to the forthcoming Avatar sequels.

Landau was quick to champion the wild success of Avatar and spoke in depth on the Disney theme park rides and the Circe de Soliel interpretation of Cameron’s Pandora. He also touches on his preference for HFR, the much maligned 48FPS format.

Avatar, it seems, will not be contained and Landau hints that we have a lot to look forward to.

Here’s our interview.
