Jeff WadlowStepping in to direct the sequel of a hugely popular feature is no easy task – but it’s one that filmmaker Jeff Wadlow revelled in, rising to the challenge as he presents the much awaited Kick-Ass 2 – and we had the pleasure of sitting down with the director to discuss his latest project.

Coming out in cinemas on August 14 – Kick-Ass 2 takes us back to the comic book world of our title role (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) who must reunite to fight against the dark forces at work thanks to the sadistic villain Chris D’Amico (Christopher Mintz-Plasse).

A new member to the cast is Jim Carrey – however the actor has since distanced himself from the production, and we asked Wadlow for his thoughts on the situation.

We also discussed what the sequel brings to the table than the first didn’t, and we also speak briefly about X-Force, which Wadlow has been confirmed for.
