Christopher Nolan is one of the very few directors actively avoiding the 3D release of their movies, and he has been rewarding us twofold in recent years by bringing IMAX into play instead. Interstellar marks his latest venture with the technology, and it’s expected to light up the box office when it hits in November.

Warner Bros. has now debuted an official first IMAX TV spot for the upcoming blockbuster, teasing some very impressive new footage of what’s to come.

Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway take the lead of an awesome ensemble, joined by Jessica Chastain, Mackenzie Foy, Michael Caine, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, Topher Grace.

Nolan directs from a script he co-wrote with his brother and frequent collaborator Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy).

Interstellar will be released on November 7th in the UK and US, landing at the regular multiplex and in IMAX cinemas around the world.
