Neon have unveiled a new look at their upcoming comedy Ingrid Goes West with a full trailer, which you can view in the player below!

A hit at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where is won the Screenwriting Award, the film stars Aubrey Plaza as a woman who becomes obsessed with social media and believes that the people who she follows are her friends. Her obsessions lead her out west to try to meet Taylor (Olsen), a successful Instagrammer who Ingrid believes could be her new best friend, but their friendship quickly goes south (rather than west) and slowly becomes weirder and weirder.

Ingrid Goes West - Official Poster

Here’s the official synopsis:

Ingrid Thorburn (Aubrey Plaza) is an unhinged social media stalker with a history of confusing “likes” for meaningful relationships. Taylor Sloane (Elizabeth Olsen) is an instagram-famous “influencer” whose perfectly curated, boho-chic lifestyle becomes Ingrid’s latest obsession. When Ingrid moves to LA and manages to insinuate herself into the social media star’s life, their relationship quickly goes from #BFF to #WTF. Built around a brilliantly disarming performance from Aubrey Plaza, Ingrid Goes West (winner of the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at Sundance) is a savagely hilarious dark comedy that satirizes the modern world of social media and proves that being #perfect isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

The film is directed by Matt Spicer (Stockholm) and co-stars O’Shea Jackson Jnr (Straight Outta Compton), Wyatt Russell (Table 19), Billy Magnussen (The Big Short) and Pom klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2) and debuts in the US on August 11th before it’s UK debut on November 17th.
