Last night, Deadline.com revealed that Hugh Jackman has dropped out of the starring role in the decidedly non-macho sounding Avon Man, to concentrate getting into top physical condition for the next Wolverine instalment.
The only question now is will Fox have a script and production in a similar tight shape to that of Jackman (currently filming futuristic boxing drama Real Steel) when the film goes into production next year?
No director has been confirmed as yet, but with a script penned by Usual Suspects scribe Christopher McQuarrie, at least things are looking up after last year’s disastrous spin-off – a film as yet, I still haven’t been able to bring myself to watch.
