We were lucky enough to visit the London studio ourselves yesterday to chat with the man who plays Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter movies – Mark Williams and special effects guru John Richardson who worked on all eight movies as well as a plethro of James Bond films. We also got to have a wander around the platform ourselves.
Cassam Looch and I had a fabulous time checking out all the nooks and crannies to give you a sneak peek into the brand new 20,000ft2 permanant stage taking you on-board The Hogwarts Express and generally delving deep in the mystery of Harry Potter!
The train you see here is the actual train that was used in the movies – all 75 tonnes of it alongside the carriages that were used for filming so you can really experience first-hand what it was like for Harry, Hermione and Ron as they travelled to Hogwarts at the start of every term.
Our interviews with Mark and John are below alongside a package we’ve put together showing the highlights of our time on the platform. Harry Potter fans will simply love this new attraction – you can book tickets to see it now for when it opens to the public on 19th March 2015.
