You may have seen the poster where a young girl holds fireworks as she runs through what seems like a forest. Well, that girl is Quvenzhané who puts in an absolutely astounding in the new movie.

I ask Ben about where they found Quvenzhané, what it was about her that was so special and how they came about adapting this stage play into a movie. We also talk about the difficulties of shooting half the movie on water and if he knew they had something special while they were making it.

Beasts of the Southern Wild is out tomorrow 19th October and, all thought it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, you’ll definitely come out of the cinema with a lot of questions.
