Today is Universal Studios 100th Anniversary which is quite an achievement! Let me start by saying a massive HAPPY ANNIVERSARY from all of us here at HeyUGuys!
Universal Studios has been responsible for so many classic movies and to celebrate, they’ve been remastering many of them from their original prints onto Blu-ray. They’ve also created this epic new opening which you’ll see open any new Universal Studios movie in the coming years.
Our friend Kevin Durham from Skinny Wrist Productions got to go out on an amazing trip to Los Angeles to visit the location where the films are actually being remastered and spoke to the people who were responsible for it all happening. He’s created this fabulous video report for us where you’re able to see the movies being restored and we learn a little as to how they went about it.
Last week we got to go on a great tour in and around London looking at various iconic film locations were shot so keep your eyes peeled for the report on that. In the meantime, here’s our report from Los Angeles on how the restoration process was accomplished courtesy of Kevin Durham.
