Not content with dominating cinemas, Marvel turned their attention to the small screen with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Unfortunately, that hasn’t ended up being the hit that the ratings for the first episode indicated it would be, but Daredevil received rave reviews and is believed to be one of Netflix’s most watched original dramas ever. So, how about a Marvel sitcom?

Believe it or not, that’s the plan with Damage Control, a series which has been given a put pilot commitment by ABC and will be a single camera sitcom following he overworked, underpaid, clean up crew of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And yes, it’s based on a comic!

Like that, it will focus on a crew dealing with the aftermath of the unique fallout from super hero conflicts, they’re the ones who are in charge of returning lost ray guns to their rightful owners, help to reschedule a wedding venue after it has been vaporized in a super hero battle, or even track down a missing prize African parrot that’s been turned to stone or goo.

Damage Control comes from The Daily Show alum and Modern Family co-executive producer Ben Karlin, and he’ll executive produce this series with David Miner and Jeph Loeb.

It’s certainly an interesting concept, but how well Damage Control will work is ultimately going to come down to how much it ties into the MCU. Not enough, and fans won’t care!
