Further blurring the lines between video games and movies is the announcement that Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro is developing a new Silent Hill with Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima.

This is something of a dream team as the latest instalment in the franchise will see a man responsible for directing and producing a number of great horror movies with someone who is considered a genius in the world of video games thanks to his work on the aforementioned series focusing on the beloved Solid Snake.

The game will have some serious star power in the form of The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus, the actor who plays fan-favourite character Daryl Dixon in the AMC series based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book.

The teaser below is very intriguing, and the graphics look incredible. It’s currently titled Silent Hills, and there’s unfortunately no word on a release date as of yet. The last Silent Hill movie was in 2012, and a game which combines both cinematic elements and frightening playable segments should give fans the best of both worlds.

As we told you not too long ago, House of Cards star Kevin Spacey is also lending his likeness to the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and you can read more about that here.
